Chris Caulum

For business owners planning for growth, investors positioning assets, and developers sourcing land, the best real estate decisions are made by people who understand the market, know what’s at stake, and have the clarity to act with confidence.

Chris is the Madison market authority for industrial and office real estate — and has been for over 25 years. As a shareholder and leader of Oakbrook’s commercial brokerage team, he brings clients something most brokers can’t: a real-time interpretation of the market, not just listings. Through quarterly market updates and proprietary research, clients know their options, understand where the market is heading, and move forward with confidence.

Oakbrook earned Top Sales and Top Leasing Firm honors from CoStar in 2025, and Chris has been a CoStar Power Broker nearly every year since 2013 — along with 14 Deal of the Year awards and the SIOR Dual Specialist designation. The majority of his work comes from repeat clients and referrals.

Clients including Mustang Properties, Interstate Partners, Sara Investment Real Estate, Weir Minerals, Trachte Building Systems, and Wisconsin Medical Society have trusted Chris with their most important real estate decisions.

A 6th generation Madison resident, Chris is a graduate of Edgewood High School and earned his business degree in the Graaskamp real estate program at the University of Wisconsin. Away from the office, he is an avid golfer and enjoys time with his wife Amy and their three adult children.
