Michael provides leadership and oversight of the Residential Division, which includes all residential property management, development, acquisition, asset management and disposition activities on behalf of Oakbrook’s principals, clients and stakeholders. Michael works directly with Oakbrook’s lending and investor partners as well as the operations and accounting divisions to maximize the value and returns of this portfolio. Michael has experience with a variety of housing types and finance programs, having led or participated in the development, financing, repositioning, and sale of over $200 million of multifamily housing over the course of his career. Prior to joining Oakbrook, Michael worked at General Growth Properties where he focused on the redevelopment of regional malls and unique retail properties within GGP’s existing portfolio.
Michael completed his graduate studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning an M.S., Real Estate and Urban Land Economics while his undergraduate work was at University of Michigan with a bachelors’ in Economics.
Michael’s professional affiliations include being a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, National Multi-Housing Council, and the National Apartment Association. Michael also serves on the board for Catholic Charities of Madison.
